3d Turtle Surf Turquoise and Sea Green Semi Abstract Art by Redruth based Cornish Artist Lindsey Keates
60x120cm
Incorporating limpet shells (Patella Safiana) as a means of contrast against plastic pollution found along the shorelines of Cornish beaches, Lindsey prefers to use natural resources that will biodegrade.
Lindsey has been inspired by the real story of Omiros, the Loggerhead Turtle who has been housed at Blue Reef Aquarium, Newquay, these semi abstracts focus on the studies of ‘swarms’ of turtles and have led to other ingenious original designs, such as designs of birds, pasty people, and crabs. Lindsey endeavors to create a book about this and is delighted that Anti copying in design has a great write-up regarding this work which can be found on Instagram.
